300 athletes taking part in Saudi Premier Karate League tournament

RIYADH: Thirty-five clubs are currently participating in the Saudi Premier Karate League tournament at King Khalid Sports City Stadium in Tabuk.
There are 300 karatekas taking part, with the second round of the individual fighting category, and first round of the kata contest, now underway, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Friday.
There are 60 referees involved in the tournament, which is for athletes of all ages and weight groups.
The contest is being held as a qualifying event for the local elite championships.
