Eid Al-Fitr to be Celebrated Tomorrow in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE

KUWAIT CITY, April 20:  On the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, the Islamic world eagerly awaits the sighting of the crescent moon. The Sharia Vision Authority of Kuwait announced that Eid Al-Fitr for the year 1444 AH will be tomorrow, Friday.

The Crescent Moon Committee at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in Qatar has officially confirmed the sighting of the crescent moon, thereby announcing that tomorrow, Friday, will be the first day of Eid Al-Fitr. This has also been corroborated by the Saudi Royal Court and Emirates News Agency who have both announced Friday as the first day of the Eid.

However, the Omani News Agency has reported that the crescent could not be sighted, and therefore Saturday will be the first day of Eid Al-Fitr for the people of Oman. Notably, the Saudi Al-Ekhbariya channel has reported the sighting of the crescent at the Tamir and Sudair observatories.

Overall, the Islamic world has been eagerly anticipating the sighting of the crescent moon, and various countries have announced the first day of Eid Al-Fitr based on their own observations.
